29 Days of Fantasy!

29 Days of Fantasy, 2013

Running from February 1, 2013 to March 1, 2013

Welcome back for another 29 days of fun and fantasy! If you're new to this, 29 Days is a celebration of all things fantasy and fantasy related. Not just writing and books, but games, movies, short stories, and much more.

This year is going to be a little different in regards to the format. Last year, I did the posts almost exclusively through invitations. I'll be doing some of that this year as well, but I'm also opening submissions to the public. Articles, reviews, short stories, anything you think would be a valuable addition to this event, send it in. I'll be picking the best stuff to be included.

I'm super-excited about it this year, and hope to draw even more people from a more diverse crowd to my site. I want everyone to pitch and and make this great. As I pick submissions to be posted, I'll update the roster below to keep everyone informed. But even if your submission isn't chosen, I'll still reserve some places for additional content in the anthology.

Anthology?

Yup! Every submission I receive that is accepted into the event will also be included in an anthology for charity. All proceeds from the anthology will go to Reglue, so you'll also be supporting a great cause. Not only that, but because I will likely get more than 29 submissions, I will also accept some of the non-posted submissions for acceptance into the anthology. Sound great? I think so.

Why 29 Days?

Last year was a leap year, and thus there were 29 days in February. This year I will run the event from February 1, 2013 to March 1, 2013, making 29 days again. They can't all be leap years, can they? :)

How do I Submit?

Have something fantasy related you want to talk about? A short story you want to show the world? Something you've read, watched, or listened to that you want to share your thoughts on? Send it in, I'm interested in seeing it all.

Submission guidelines: submissions should be from 750 to 2000 words and include all images you want posted with it, along with a brief bio of you, the author, and how you want your name to appear in the article. Document files should be in either LibreOffice (preferred) or MS Word format. You must either own the copyrights to all submitted materials, or they must be in the public domain, and pornographic or otherwise offensive material will almost certainly not be posted.

Contact me by January 25, 2013 to let me know you want to submit, and I will email you back with an address to send it to.
